After months of anticipation, the new Mighty Shane FC kits for the 2016 OTPL season have been revealed. MSFC have stuck with Nike as the designers of the new club strip amidst rumours of a switch to Adidas.
The new kits see a move away from the neon yellow of the previous kits to a more traditional Mighty Shane yellow. New to this season's strip are the splashes of red and the navy blue trim. Several unnamed squad players have already been heard wondering aloud whether the navy blue on the shoulder will absorb too much heat during those midsummer fixtures, but that remains to be seen.
Down the center of the shirt are both the club badge and the On Tap sponsor's logo. Critics have pointed to the reduced size of both logos since last season, but most of the playing squad feel that it will be the team's performances, not the kits, that garner the most attention.
The new kits have been described as looking 'menacing' by some, and it is hoped they will provide a spark for the start of the new season. The Mighty Shane playing squad are slated to don the new kits for the first time on March 6, 2016 against the Celts.
